- Shift is from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm
- Some Saturdays and overtime

- The normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at our Holtsville, NY hauling site

Job Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
- Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Perform safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Assist senior mechanics in the completion of project work
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Advanced electrical/vehicle camera knowledge and experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

- Require physical effort that includes frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing

- Exposure to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
- Job operates in both inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
