Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of assigned contracts from initiation through to completion. Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project-related activities, both internally and externally, to ensure the efficient execution of contracts for the supply of equipment and services. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all contractual deliverables are completed and submitted in accordance with project requirements.
Coordinate the procurement of goods and services required to fulfil contractual obligations. Monitor project expenditure, ensuring budgets are maintained and identifying opportunities for cost savings where possible. Define project scope, activities, sequencing, and estimated durations to develop realistic and achievable project schedules using the EPMS. Work closely with Procurement teams to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of materials and services.
Collaborate with the Quality department to develop project Inspection, Test and Quality Plans. Maintain clear and effective communication across all business functions to support successful project delivery. Monitor and manage project labour hours to ensure efficient resource utilisation. Control project costs, including materials, services, and labour, to ensure delivery within approved budgets. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, reducing uncertainty and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on project delivery.
About you:
Experience working within a Mechanically focused role within Engineering/Manufacturing (Project Management preferable) Ideally qualified in a relevant Engineering/Project related discipline (NVQ, HNC, HND, Degree etc.) Excellent communication skills at all levels Well organised and self-motivated Able to work well both independently and within a team IT Literate
