Business Development Specialist

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a US law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Business Development Specialist to join the team on a 14-month FTC basis. This is an exciting role in their London office where the successful applicant will assist with marketing, BD, communications, and events. Working closely with the wider Marketing team, you will take on a varied role designed to boost engagement and support strategic initiatives across the firm.

Responsibilities will include:
Leading go-to-market groups, supporting practice planning processes, and executing goals. Supporting the wider team with project implementation. Creating pitch materials, proposals, presentations, and timelines. Assisting with communications and PR for the London office to drive the communications strategy. Coordinating sponsorship and managing events and their logistics. Leading webinar process projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. Coordinating and sharing client alerts.

Supporting quality control, delivery, and conflict checks. Researching competitors, clients, and market trends. Supporting lateral partner integration. Managing directories, surveys, projects, and submissions. Updating and tracking communications and BD metrics. Drafting and editing website content. Tracking matters for practice groups. Processing and posting lawyer biographies on the website. Supporting firm and department initiatives. Suitable candidates will have gained 5 years of prior marketing & BD experience, ideally within a law firm, although professional services environments will also be considered. We are seeking applicants with exemplary leadership, attention to detail, communication, and organisation skills. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, Inter Action, and Vuture is highly desired.
