Holyoke Community College invites adjunct applications to teach general Business classes.
Dual Enrollment section for high school students.
Location:
Ware High School. Alternating schedule:
Tuesdays, 8:00am - 9:15am;
Thursdays, 1:00pm - 2:15pm.
- Provide a quality learning experience for Holyoke Community College students on a semester basis.
- Report to the BSTEM Dean and perform instruction-related duties in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college.
- Distribute and review the course syllabus during the first class meeting; forward final syllabus to the dean no later than end of first week of classes.
- Utilize active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies (cooperative learning, experiential learning, writing for learning, critical thinking initiatives).
- Remain abreast of ongoing developments and practices in professional content area(s).
- Arrange acquisition and preparation of appropriate materials and equipment in a timely manner necessary to meet course objectives in collaboration with the area dean.
- Record and report student data including assessment of student performance; provide final grade reports.
- Support students’ learning goals by focusing on learning outcomes, taking into account needs and abilities, becoming familiar with academic and social support, and making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences.
- Maintain academic integrity of the college.
- Attend all scheduled classes; notify supervisor or designee of any missed class and provide alternate assignment if necessary.
REQUIRED: Master’s Degree in Business or related area;
Commitment to and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff & student body.
PREFERRED: Experience teaching in higher education.
Anticipated State DateSpring, 2026.
CompensationDCESalary: $1,397.00 Per Credit; no benefits. Funding:
Trust.
