Holyoke Community College invites adjunct applications to teach general Business classes. Dual Enrollment section for high school students.

Alternating schedule:
Tuesdays, 8:00 am – 9:15 am;
Thursdays, 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a quality learning experience for Holyoke Community College students on a semester basis.
  • Report to the BSTEM Dean and perform instruction‑related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college.
  • Distribute and review the course syllabus during the first class meeting and forward it to the dean no later than the end of the first week of classes in each session.
  • Utilize active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies to assist learners in meeting the course objectives.
  • Remain abreast of ongoing developments and practices in the professional content area(s).
  • Arrange for the acquisition and preparation of appropriate materials and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Record and report student data, including final grade reports, accurately and promptly.
  • Support students’ learning goals by focusing on learning outcomes, considering student needs and abilities, and being familiar with academic and social support.
  • Make reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences.
  • Maintain the academic integrity of the college.
  • Make yourself available to assist students in achieving their learning goals.
  • Recommend campus services to students as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled classes; if you must miss a class, notify the supervisor and provide an alternate assignment.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business or a related area.
  • Commitment to and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
  • Knowledge in Introduction to Sport Management, Human Resource Management, Business Law, Principles of Marketing, and/or Computer Applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in higher education.
Compensation

DCE salary: $1,397.00 per credit; no benefits. Funding:
Trust.
