We’re excited to invite passionate Residential Support Specialists (Direct Care Workers) to join our Developmental Services Residential program.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Support Specialist, you’ll provide essential direct care to individuals living in group homes, supporting their growth, independence, and safety while fostering dignity and respect. You’ll play a key role in helping individuals thrive in their daily lives and communities.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting individuals with daily living skills, independence, and decision-making
  • Monitoring overall health and well-being and encouraging competency and empowerment
  • Assisting with medication treatment and documenting related activities
  • Providing crisis intervention and emergency support when needed
  • Planning opportunities for community activities and fostering social networks
  • Maintaining a safe, respectful, and empowering environment

Who You Are

  • Commitment to empowerment, human rights, and community integration (required)
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for working hours (required)
  • At least 6 months of experience in human services (preferred)
  • Willingness to complete BHN-provided training (required)
