Phlebotomy Trainer

Our laboratory team has an exciting opportunity for a Phlebotomy Trainer to function as a resource to staff in Phlebotomy and to perform duties within the scope of responsibility of a Phlebotomist.

• Act as a resource and mentor for department employees;
• Provide orientation and full training within the department;
• Oversee training signoffs;
• Create and implement new training techniques, maintain training material and competencies for all Phlebotomists;
• Perform retraining of Phlebotomists as needed;
• Perform blood collection procedures on patients of all ages, including newborns and children.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum two years of hospital phlebotomy experience including registering patients;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proficiency in the use of computers and software;
• Reliable transportation.

8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.
