Senior Manager, Clinical Consultant (Nursing Informatics & Clinician-Centered Solutions)
The Senior Manager, Clinical Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations, bringing hands‑on clinical expertise and consulting experience to guide digital transformation initiatives. This role blends strategic consulting, nursing leadership, and informatics knowledge to optimize clinical workflows, improve adoption of technology solutions, and enhance patient care. The Senior Manager partners with executive leaders, frontline clinicians, and IT teams to ensure technology solutions are aligned with nursing and patient care priorities while driving efficiency, safety, and quality outcomes.
KeyQualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) required; advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- 5+ years progressive nursing experience, including inpatient bedside and leadership roles (e.g., Nurse Manager, Director)
- 3+ years experience in Nursing Informatics, Clinical Informatics, or Health IT project leadership
- 2+ years consulting experience in healthcare delivery, clinical transformation, or technology adoption
- Demonstrated success leading clinical transformation, EHR optimization, or digital health initiatives
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and healthcare operations
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and change management skills to engage clinicians and leadership
- Project and program management experience (budgeting, RFPs, vendor coordination) is a plus
- Ability to translate complex clinical and technical information for diverse audiences
- Availability to travel up to 25%
- Serve as the primary clinical consultant for technology-enabled initiatives
- Guide assessments of clinical workflows and design informatics-driven improvements to enhance nurse efficiency, patient safety, and outcomes
- Partner with nursing and physician leadership to champion adoption of EHRs, digital health tools, and clinician-centered solutions
- Provide expertise in change management, training, and communication strategies for clinical staff
- Represent clients as a thought leader in nursing informatics and digital health transformation
- Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and client resources to execute initiatives effectively
- Develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
- Translate clinical requirements into technical solutions, working closely with IT, operations, and vendor teams
- Mentor junior consultants and project managers engaged in clinical IT work
- Partner in identifying opportunities and supporting proposals or Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Develop client deliverables, synthesizing data and insights into clear, compelling recommendations
- Maintain strong client relationships, escalating risks or issues as needed and providing actionable guidance
