As a Registered Nurse (RN), you play a key role in fulfilling our mission to make communities healthier

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and clinical coordination within our behavioral health units, delivering quality, compassionate care for child (ages 5‑17), adult, geriatric, and forensic patients. You’ll work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Education & Licensure Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
  • Current unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts (or compact state) required.
Certifications
  • BLS (CPR) – required upon hire
  • CPI or Handle With Care – preferred
  • ACLS – preferred
  • CRRN – preferred
Required Skills & Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • 6+ months Med/Surg experience – preferred
  • Behavioral Health or Psychiatric experience – preferred
  • Strong communication, assessment, and de‑escalation skills
  • Calm, compassionate, and focused under pressure
  • Team‑oriented with a passion for patient‑centered care
  • Understanding of Trauma‑informed care – preferred
Essential Job Functions
  • Participate as a key collaborator on the patient team during the behavioral health journey
  • Provide direct nursing care according to established standards and procedures
  • Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and document progress
  • Administer medications and treatments safely
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinicians to coordinate care
  • Support psychiatric emergencies and crisis interventions
  • Promote a culture of safety, dignity, and respect
  • Engage in professional development and performance improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with patients’ families, legal guardians, and regulatory bodies

Our Behavioral Health Department is a 150‑bed inpatient facility designed to foster healing, safety, and innovation. With a 1:6‑1:8 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, our nurses provide specialized, compassionate care across children, adults, geriatrics, and forensic units.
