Shift: 32-40 hours available, 11am-7pm. Compensation: $32-$48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, and in cooperation with the Nursing Team, the RN Shift Supervisor is to supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities of the community, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and policies. The role is to maintain the highest quality of care.
- Evaluate, develop, mentor, coach, counsel, and discipline department staff.
- Participate in community surveys and assist in developing corrective plans for deficiencies.
- Supervise care delivery systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Participate in quality improvement processes, including audits and system checks.
- Support admission, transfer, and discharge of residents as required; perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
- Attend and participate in scheduled and mandatory training sessions.
- Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure proper administration.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in this state.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English in an understandable manner.
