Dietary Aide-Per Diem

Dietary Aide-Per Diem – Mira Vista Behavioral Health Center – Holyoke, MA

5 shifts per month with 2 weekend shifts and holiday rotation. Shift options: 2pm-7pm, 10:30am-7pm, and 6:00am-2:30pm.

• Assist the Food Service Director with dietary functions.
• Collaborate with the facility’s dietitian and implement recommended changes.
• Follow Serv Safe hygiene procedures.
• Serve meals in a timely manner.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties per policy.
• Clean work areas, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Set up meals, food carts, unit pantries, etc.
• Assist cooks with snack, sandwich, salad, and fruit preparation.
• Deliver and serve food to designated units.
• Stock unit pantries, nursing stations, and water/fruit areas.
• Execute dishwashing/cleaning procedures.
• Ensure utensils and supplies are available for the next meal.

High school education preferred.

• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
