About the Role
Per Diem Security Officer! 5 Shifts per month Weekdays 5:15am - 1:15pm. As a Security Officer for Mira Vista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you will perform general security work in the protection of persons, property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules and regulations of the department as well as any applicable federal, state, and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents.
You will provide for the safety and security of all persons and property for patients, visitors, and staff on the hospital campus, and respond appropriately to and carry out proper procedure for the Emergency Operations Plan, Security Operation Plan, and Emergency Codes.
- High school Diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in security or police
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Excellent Depth Perception and side vision
- Must be free of night blindness and be able to listen and hear machinery sound changes, whistles, cries for help, screams, alarms, and traffic noises
- Must produce a concise and accurate report
- Must be physically able to assist with restraint of patients during crisis intervention and be able to problem‑solve on an independent basis
