We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Watford from September 2026. This is a full‑time position, offering the opportunity to take full responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class within a supportive and forward‑thinking school environment.

The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging, well‑structured and creative lessons, supporting pupils' academic progress, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom where all children can thrive.

• Teach and inspire a Year 5 class across the full primary curriculum.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome and will be fully supported throughout induction.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable).
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
