Dependent on experience About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanning Manager / Paraplanner to join a successful and growing independent wealth management and financial planning business. This is a hybrid position combining hands-on technical paraplanning with responsibility for managing a small paraplanning team . You will play an important role in supporting Financial Planners and the wider business, while also contributing to operational improvements, quality assurance and business strategy.

Based in Chipping Norton , this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Diploma-qualified Paraplanner who is looking to take on greater management responsibility while remaining involved in technical paraplanning.

Key Responsibilities Paraplanning Analyse client circumstances, objectives, requirements and risk profiles. Research and analyse clients' existing financial arrangements. Analyse clients' Capital Gains Tax (CGT) positions and other relevant tax considerations. Research financial products, investments and appropriate solutions. Prepare and write recommendation letters, suitability reports and other client documentation. Assist with client reviews, including attending client meetings where required. Deal with technical queries from clients and internal colleagues.

Work with other team members to ensure client records are accurate and kept up to date. Keep up to date with changes across relevant financial planning, investment, pension and regulatory areas. Provide technical support to Financial Planners and other members of the team. Management & Leadership Line manage members of the paraplanning team, including regular 1-to-1s, appraisals and performance management.

Allocate workflow and manage workloads across the paraplanning team. Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to paraplanners. Chair paraplanning team meetings and ensure actions are followed through. Attend weekly Operations Meetings and take responsibility for actions relating to the paraplanning team. Work closely with Compliance, Financial Planners and Operations to resolve technical, regulatory and process queries. Carry out quality assurance reviews and audits across the paraplanning team.

Work with senior management to support the development and delivery of business plans and operational improvements. Contribute to the ongoing development, efficiency and effectiveness of the paraplanning function. Key Requirements Minimum of 5 years' paraplanning experience . Diploma qualified or equivalent. Previous experience managing or supervising a paraplanning team. Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and financial services regulation. Excellent technical paraplanning and report-writing skills.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong numeracy and analytical skills, including the ability to work with complex figures and financial information. Good research and problem-solving skills. Strong IT and computer skills. Highly organised, accurate and detail-oriented. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Dependent on experience Pension: 5% employer contribution, with salary sacrifice available Holiday: 32 days plus Bank Holidays and Christmas week Volunteer Day:
One paid volunteer day per year Training Budget: £2,000 individual training budget per year, with 10% available for personal training Death in Service: 4x basic salary, subject to a £150,000 salary cap Income Protection:
Up to 75% of basic salary, subject to a £100,000 salary cap

Working Hours:
