• Drive school bus to transport students over scheduled routes and field trips in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety, appearance, and sanitation of the vehicle.
• Fuel vehicles to maintain safe operating conditions.
• Notify mechanics of mechanical issues and report accidents or traffic stops immediately.
• Assist students and passengers in loading and unloading, including emergency evacuations.
• Attend meetings and training to maintain skills and meet licensing requirements.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff, and administrators.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Obey traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Keep the bus clean and adhere to routes and schedules.
• Report mechanical failures, tardiness, and enforce safety policies such as no smoking or eating on the bus.
• Monitor passenger behavior and report discipline issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
