Job PurposeCreate and implement a flexible program and classroom environment favorable to student learning and personal growth. Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines. Establish effective rapport with students, staff, and parents. Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to provide an effective educational foundation, in accordance with each student s ability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the company s philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Develop purposeful lesson plans with effective teaching strategies and maximize time on task.
- Presents subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunities with real-world, application-based examples.
- Review student records to understand individual abilities and needs; maintain accurate and complete student records.
- Aim to maximize the educational achievement of each student.
- Use a variety of learning modalities and differentiated instruction within lessons.
- Utilize diagnostic assessment of student learning regularly.
- Assess student strengths and weaknesses frequently and generate progress reports as required.
- Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel.
- Assign lessons, correct work, and review oral presentations.
- Coordinate class field trips as required.
- Prepare students for state-required achievement assessments.
- Stay current in subject matter knowledge and share knowledge for curriculum improvement.
- Assist in curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
- Familiarize with supplemental services beneficial to students as extensions of regular activities.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students maturity and interests.
- Maintain positive rapport with students; demonstrate patience and nurturing to support student growth.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student work.
- Implement relevant policies governing student conduct.
- Develop reasonable rules of classroom/playground behavior in accordance with CSUSA policy and guidelines and maintain order.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals.
- Plan individual and group activities to meet objectives and student needs.
- Prepare for classes and demonstrate preparation upon supervisory request.
- Participate in curriculum planning with other staff; incorporate IEP diagnostic information as required.
- Protect supplies, equipment, and facilities needed for instruction.
- Establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents/guardians when appropriate.
- Communicate clearly and positively with parents via appropriate channels.
- Cooperate with administration, staff, and CSUSA; maintain confidentiality of student records.
- Engage in parent communication activities and extracurriculars to support school culture and student/staff welfare.

There is no unusual physical exertion required; light work with possible occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; consider potential stress from student activity.
