Pride Health is hiring a Entry Level Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Homestead, FL 33033.
This is a 6 months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Name: Entry Level Phlebotomist I
Location: Homestead, FL 33033
Duration: 06+ months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
Shift: M-F 5:30am-1:00pm / Every Saturday 6:30am-10:30am
Payrate: $17.75/hr (w2). Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Responsibilities- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- Greet patients upon arrival, answer questions or concerns with care and compassion, and maintain the integrity of the waiting area.
- Assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable and help with front‑desk duties.
- Provide a trustworthy environment by explaining procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner.
- Demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills, patient confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintain a safe and professional environment, and keep required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public while demonstrating willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check‑ins in the lobby using either a self‑service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Willingness to learn Phlebotomy skills during downtime or breaks that need to be covered.
- Once Phlebotomy skills are obtained, perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- High level of customer service experience or skills are required, as this is critical to the heart of the role.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of client‑facing customer service experience (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.) (required).
- Prior Phlebotomy experience is not required.
- Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
- Entry position into Phlebotomy; candidates must be willing to learn this skill.
- Must not apply if only interested in a front‑desk or greeter position and not willing to learn Phlebotomy.
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to join the site; bus, Uber, rideshare is not reliable transportation.
- Must be available to work whenever scheduled, be on time, and stay for the entire shift.
- Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination.
- Verify commute time to/from the physical work location; candidates must be within a 20‑25‑minute commute window.
