We are seeking a Mental Health Program Assistant to support our clinical and administrative operations. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in mental health, counseling, or healthcare administration.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day administrative and program support to therapists, case managers, and clinical staff.
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments, maintaining calendars, and confirming session details.
- Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and confidential.
- Help coordinate group therapy sessions, community programs, and outreach initiatives.
- Support intake processes by collecting patient information and verifying insurance details.
- Manage data entry tasks, including input of patient progress notes, reports, and billing information.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth operation of programs and client care schedules.
- Prepare materials for meetings, workshops, and educational presentations.
- Uphold HIPAA standards and company policies on patient privacy and safety.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or office support setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Compassionate, patient, and eager to support the mission of improving mental health outcomes.
- Knowledge of mental health terminology and program operations.
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Status:
Part-time or Full-time options available.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, with flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Work setting:
Hybrid – primarily onsite with potential for remote administrative work upon supervisor approval.
Pay range: $22.50 – $27.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Pay: $22.63 - $27.26 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
