• Greet and assist customers promptly: approach and acknowledge customers immediately, provide assistance, and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: assess needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing to merchandise, and offering recommendations; engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions: inform customers about current store events, promotions, and activities to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: address issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet high
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on the sales floor
• Frequently communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone; exchange accurate information
• Move across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve/stock merchandise
• Work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel as required
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for portions of the workday
