Deco Truss, a Division of USLBM, is seeking Rebar Assemblers in Homestead, FL

Founded in 1983, Deco Truss serves framing and building contractors for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. In addition to manufacturing all types of truss systems, Deco Truss also provides lumber, decking and roofing materials, rebar, millwork and doors, fencing supplies, tools, hardware, and more to customers. Deco Truss operates an 8.5-acre manufacturing plant and retail location in Miami and will operate as a unit of US LBM’s Raymond Building Supply.

Wage: $15 per hour paid on a weekly basis

How you will spend your days as a Rebar Laborer:

• Pull materials from racks, units, or other storage areas to prepare for pick up or shipping
• Organize material to ensure it arrives safe and undamaged
• Band material to assure safe handling (forklift) and delivery
• Maintain good working relationships with customers, fellow employees, and management
• Maintain the appearance of the yard and racks in an orderly and clean manner focusing on your area
• Determine the quantity, size, and shapes of reinforcing rods and their placement
• Prepare rebar and mesh for installation using metal shears, hacksaws, and torches
• Bend or weld rebar together
• Install cables
• Use pliers to tie wire around rods to fasten them together
• Position and secure rods, cables, mesh, or rebar in concrete forms

Requirements of the role:

• Experience with rebar preferred
• Ability to learn to operate equipment
• Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
