Vaco is assisting in the search for a detail‑oriented Provider Credentialing Coordinator to support the accurate and timely credentialing and recredentialing of healthcare providers. This role is responsible for coordinating credentialing activities, maintaining complete and compliant provider records, and ensuring adherence to organizational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑focused, and communicates effectively with providers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the full credentialing and recredentialing lifecycle for healthcare providers.
- Collect, review, verify, and track required credentialing documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date provider information in credentialing systems and databases.
- Conduct primary source verifications in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor expiring licenses, certifications, and credentials and proactively obtain renewals.
- Communicate with providers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion of credentialing requirements.
- Prepare credentialing files for committee review and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or credentialing‑related role preferred.
- Working knowledge of credentialing regulations, processes, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑service mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing or provider data systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Compensation is based on skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, location, and business needs. Salary range is disclosed in this posting and the individual may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage and participation in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
