About The Role
As a Home Care Support Worker you will provide care to individuals in their own homes. You will travel between clients through the community and retirement villages, performing tasks according to the person‑led care plan. You will receive thorough training and shadowing with an experienced worker before working alone.
- Assist clients with personal care such as dressing, bathing, medication and nutrition.
- Provide domestic support including housework, laundry and shopping.
- Help manage financial matters such as collecting pensions and budgeting.
- Support clients to remain socially active, accompanying them to activities and outings.
- Travel to rural areas, driving to clients’ homes and ensuring coverage of the service area.
- Reliable, kind and caring attitude with a desire to help others.
- Flexible approach to work and ability to quickly build rapport.
- Previous experience in a care environment is a plus but not essential.
- Willingness to travel, drive to rural areas and hold business insurance.
- Commitment of at least 16 hours per week for part‑time or 40 hours for full‑time.
