At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK's number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners. New Street Vets, part of ivc, is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and experienced team as we begin an exciting new chapter alongside our sister practice, Otter Vets.

• Enjoy the variety of first-opinion work
• Develop your clinical interests
• Be surrounded by supportive colleagues

No two days are the same at New Street Vets. You'll see a varied first-opinion caseload including:

• Cats
• Dogs
• Rabbits
• Small furries
• Occasional chickens
• Local wildlife

You’ll enjoy a balance of consultations and surgery, with flexibility to focus more heavily on surgery if preferred. Opportunities to share knowledge and get involved with emergency and critical care cases are plentiful.

Based in a charming converted property close to Honiton's high street, New Street Vets offers a welcoming community feel combined with modern facilities:

• Dedicated consulting rooms
• Dental radiography
• Ultrasound machine
• In-house laboratory

With a refurbishment underway, it’s an exciting time to join and be part of its future development.

You will join an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs, supported by a dedicated Practice Manager. We value open communication and shared learning, fostering an environment where questions are encouraged, ideas exchanged, and growth supported.

Full-time hours are 40 per week, worked over four or five days. Part-time applications from 30 hours per week are also welcomed. The rota includes just 1:4 Saturday mornings (9:00am-1:00pm), with no out-of-hours or on-call duties.

Nestled in East Devon, Honiton combines market town charm with countryside living. Surrounded by rolling hills and close to the Jurassic Coast, residents enjoy beaches, scenic walks, and outdoor adventures. The town features a variety of shops and cafés and benefits from excellent transport links to Exeter, Taunton, and the wider South West.

We are committed to supporting your career and wellbeing with:

• Clear career pathways and progression opportunities
• Funded CPD, training centres, and courses
• £1,250 annual Care Fund for each vet
• Mentorships, clinical coaches, and peer networks
• Development of clinical interests and capabilities
