Support Worker

Location: Honiton (supporting customers across Honiton & Exeter)
Pay: £15.34 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: 3-Month Temporary Assignment (to October 2026)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, with 1 Saturday in every 6

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives?

We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping people with complex needs move towards independent living.
What you'll be doing:
  • Managing a small caseload of 5-8 customers, allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Developing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments.
  • Supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse and housing-related issues.
  • Working closely with external agencies, landlords, healthcare professionals and support services.
  • Promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every individual you support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding and risk management processes.
We're looking for someone with:
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • Confidence managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
  • Knowledge of housing-related support and safeguarding practices (desirable).
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (desirable).
Enhanced DBS required.
