Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a construction and contractor company in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and confidence handling high-volume invoice activity. The role focuses on accurate payment processing, records maintenance, and clerical support while working effectively with accounting data and digital tools.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming invoices
• Match invoices to POs/receiving documents
• Respond to vendor emails/calls
• Route invoices for approval
• Monitor Accounts Payable inbox, as well as general inbox
• Update vendor records
• Prepare weekly payment batches, file weekly payment check stubs
• Reconcile Accounts Payable aging report and vendor statements
• Answer and route calls, greet visitors
• Prepare documents, letters, and reports as needed
• Inventory and order office supplies
• Process mail and shipments
• Archive documents
• Create new jobs folder for new projects
