Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a fast-paced advertising organization. This Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can manage high-volume transaction review, maintain precise financial records, and keep reconciliations current. The person in this role will help strengthen day-to-day payable operations by ensuring expenses are accurately categorized and recorded in a timely manner.

Due to onsite requirements, preference will be given to Hawaii residents.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts payable activity and corporate card statements to ensure transactions are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Examine a large volume of credit card charges across multiple accounts and verify each item before entry.
• Apply the correct accounting codes and link expenses to the appropriate jobs within Quick Books.
• Distinguish client-billable project costs from internal operating expenses and record them accordingly.
• Support the resolution of outstanding reconciliation items and reduce aged backlog through organized follow-up.
• Maintain orderly financial records that support reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
• Process invoice-related entries with close attention to timing, coding, and supporting documentation.
