After School Care Assistant Leader - Extended Learning

After School Care (ASC) provides supervision for Punahou students in Kindergarten – grade
5. Punahou School is seeking Assistant Leaders who, under the direction of the ASC Leaders, supervise students in their designated grade level and support the Leaders in providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist ASC Leaders with planning and implementing activities that reflect the vision and mission of the ASC program and grade level theme.
• Assist with leading students through various activities.
• Create a safe, engaging and supportive atmosphere for students.
• Handle day‑to‑day operations.

  Monday - Friday, 2:15 PM - 5:30 PM (Schedule may vary based on operational needs)
• Hourly Rate: $18.00/Hour

• According to the Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) 17‑896‑1, candidates:
• Shall be at least 18 years of age;
• Shall always be under the direction of a program leader;
• Shall attend orientation training provided by the facility.
• One (1) year of experience working with school‑aged children preferred.
• Administrative experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the development stages of children, including the principles and practices related to youth development preferred.
