AFO is looking for a Cost Estimator to work in Honolulu, HI. To join our team of outstanding professionals.
Responsibilities- Develop detailed cost estimates for facility repairs, restoration, and construction activities.
- Prepare estimates using field assessments, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and quantity takeoffs.
- Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and validate field quantities and repair requirements.
- Support the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Review and evaluate contractor proposals, pricing, and cost estimates.
- Analyze contractor estimates, change orders, contract modifications, and proposed repair costs.
- Maintain current cost databases, historical pricing, labor rates, and productivity assumptions.
- Coordinate with Construction Managers, Engineers, Logistics personnel, and Government representatives to validate scope and pricing.
- Identify cost risks, assumptions, exclusions, and potential changes to repair requirements.
