Tellers at Central Pacific Bank believe customer service begins with exceeding, not simply meeting, customer expectations. You are the face of our company to many customers and non‑customers alike. Processing routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, merchant transactions, etc.) and giving a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the branch are key performance duties of your position. Helping customers meet their financial goals by informing them of products and services to meet their individual needs is your passion.

Responsibilities- Provides an Exceptional Customer Experience.
- Delivers personalized customer service and consistently looks for ways to “WOW” customers.
- Tackles a variety of financial transactions ranging from check cashing & cash deposits to loan payments and counting currency and coin accurately.
- Maintains accurate records of each customer in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
- Answers customer questions with a can‑do attitude, no matter how complex or technical.
- Complies with all security procedures and bank regulations that apply to your position.
- Maintains working knowledge of policies and procedures that apply to your position.
- Safeguards assigned, branch, and customer cash according to Security Procedures.
- Holds financial conversations to determine needs and refer appropriate solutions.
- Identifies referral opportunities to maintain relationships and add value for all customers.
- Actively cross‑sells bank products and services.
- Participates in branch or bank‑wide campaigns.
- Maintains and submits customer referrals and reports as required.
- Works as a team to meet and exceed individual and team goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Teller I Requirements: 6 months or more of experience in cash handling and customer service.
- Teller II Requirements: 1+ year(s) of experience in cash handling and customer service; 1+ year(s) in a Financial Institution and/or Teller experience.
- Must be able to perform light physical work and move or lift items, including but not limited to boxes, files, and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise indicated.
- Must be able to operate and use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer, and other work‑related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
- Must be able to read and understand bank‑related documents.
- Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
