About the Role

My client is hiring an Architect II to join their award‑winning Architecture team. This person will help drive project delivery across multiple phases — from design and documentation through coordination and execution. The role balances creative design, technical accuracy, project coordination, and mentorship of junior team members.

This is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys both design and production, can work independently, and is ready to take on more ownership within a project team.

  • Prepare and develop drawings, models, design documents, and project deliverables.
  • Lead concept development and contribute to cohesive, high‑quality design solutions.
  • Review and incorporate zoning, IBC, ADA, Hawai‘i Energy Code, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project communication.
  • Assist with programming, feasibility studies, code reviews, and early project planning.
  • Translate sketches and design concepts into accurate working drawings.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards and ensure documents are complete and coordinated.
  • Participate in specification development, technical reviews, and team staffing coordination.
  • Present design concepts using visual presentations as needed.
  • Travel to job sites for design + construction coordination when required.
  • Support proposal and marketing efforts with minimal guidance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (required).
  • 3–5 years of architectural experience.
  • 3+ years of AutoCAD and Revit experience.
  • Minimum 1 year managing small projects or tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations (Zoning, IBC, ADA, Hawai‘i Energy Code, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch Up, InDesign (preferred).
  • Rendering capabilities and Twin Motion familiarity (plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of construction practices and technical detailing.
