Responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and plans for NIWC Pacific projects. The Drafter will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.

• Prepare, revise, and maintain detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software
• Interpret and apply engineering designs, specifications, sketches, and markups
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and company requirements
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to incorporate revisions and updates
• Maintain drawing files, version control, and documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Assist in resolving design conflicts or discrepancies identified during drafting
• Support project deadlines by producing accurate drawings in a timely manner
• Perform basic calculations related to dimensions, materials, and tolerances as required

Required knowledge and years of experience

Two years experience.

Education Requirements

High School, Associate degree in Drafting preferred.
