Position: 15th Medical Group – Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam, Hawaii.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian health‑care providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)).

• Serve as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader, providing comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑deployment health assessments and preventive health assessments (PHA).
• Complete administrative paperwork and assessments required of active‑duty Primary Care Managers.
• Advise physicians, non‑physician providers, and nursing/para‑professional staff on patient care across urgent, emergent, and non‑urgent medical problems.
• Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient‑Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
• Participate in local disaster training exercises as directed and respond to real‑world disaster situations.
• Coordinate with state, county, and local medical emergency personnel to deliver primary care per the assigned facility’s Medical Contingency Response Plan (MCRP).
• Participate in a rotating call schedule, averaging one week every six weeks, holding the designated call for Active‑Duty death notifications (rare).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• US citizen.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a U.S. or Canadian program accredited by a recognized accrediting body.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Physician from a U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
• At least one year of supervised clinical experience following degree completion (internship or first year of residency).

• Successfully completed an accredited residency in Family Medicine (or equivalent) with at least four years of relevant experience.
• Residency training cannot be substituted with equivalent experience.
