Upper Elementary Lead Teacher in Honolulu, HI, US
Montessori Community School (MCS) is seeking a passionate and experienced Upper Elementary Lead Guide to join our well‑established Montessori program in the heart of Honolulu. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a vibrant island community, while being part of a deeply rooted school with a 50+ year history.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver Montessori lessons to upper elementary students
- Collaborating daily with a co‑lead guide and support staff
- Conferencing regularly with parents
- Contributing to a positive, communicative team culture

Preferred candidates:
- Hold Montessori credentials (a MACTE accredited program/AMS or AMI) and ideally have classroom experience
- Are innovative, effective communicators, and strong listeners
- Are open to relocating to Honolulu and committing to supporting the school through a 3‑year cycle, assuming mutual fit

We are accredited by the Hawai’i Association of Independent schools (HAIS) and the American Montessori Society (AMS). Salary range: commensurate with experience
