Summer Early Childhood Lead Teacher

Honolulu Waldorf School’s Summer Fun Early Childhood Lead teaching position is ideal for someone who loves children, has a positive attitude, and who has the initiative and confidence to lead a group of 15–20 children, 3–5 ½ years old, with the support of an assistant teacher and aide.

The position requires:

• Experience developing and implementing curriculum for children in Early Childhood.
• Patch certification to be a lead teacher in an Early Childhood classroom. Please have your patch card available for verification that you are certified to be a Lead Teacher in a Group Childcare Center (GCC).

• 7:30 am – 8:30 am Lead Teachers prepare for the day
• 8:30 am – 9:00 am Students Arrive (outdoor play)
• 9:00 am – 9:30 am Greeting and Morning Activity
• 9:30 am – 10:00 am Snack
  10:00 am – 11:30 pm Crafting Time and free play
  -indoor or outdoor play
• 11:30 am – 12:00 pm Transition Activity – Games, storybooks, fingerplays, etc.
• 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Lunch
• 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm Story and Rest time
• 2:30 pm – 2:45 pm Clean up and gather belongings for dismissal
• 2:45 pm – 3:00 pm Pick-up
