Graduate students at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa are invited to apply for a graduate research assistantship with health services research projects within the Population Sciences in the Pacific/Cancer Prevention program at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center. The candidates are required to be in good academic standing and demonstrate a strong interest in an area of cancer health care delivery.

This GA position requires on-site availability at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center in Kaka’ako for 20 hours/week.

Conditions:

Continuation of the position is subject to satisfactory work performance and availability of funds.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis under supervision.
• Conduct literature and resources searches and reviews for manuscripts, technical reports, presentations, etc.
• Assist with manuscript preparation and grant writing activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.

• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Experience conducting research on grant funded projects.
• Experience with grant writing.
• Familiarity with Hawaii and Pacific Island context and culture.
• Knowledge of standard statistical methods.
• Record of publication(s).
