The Chaplains help articulate and implement Punahou's mission, honoring our Hawaiian and Christian heritage in the midst of our culturally and religiously diverse community. Responsibilities- Have responsibilities as an integral part of a K-12 community Chaplain team, with primary responsibilities in the Punahou Junior School (Kindergarten – Grade
8). - Plan, organize, and lead weekly chapel services that are joyful, developmentally appropriate, and reflect Christian values, as well as the mission and values of the school.
- Work with Counselors and Deans as part of a team to provide pastoral care to students, faculty, and staff.
- Help implement the Junior School Chapel program, working closely with the Junior School Principal, Assistant Principals, Deans, and the other Chaplains.
- Function as a member of the Junior School faculty – with appropriate assignments and responsibilities assigned by the Junior School Principal.
- Engage and nurture students spiritually through a consistent and respected Junior School presence and voice.
- Help lead and sustain the ongoing, mission-centered, school-wide conversations that further moral and spiritual education among students, faculty, and staff at Punahou.
- Engage with our broader community in officiating weddings, funerals, and other services.

Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm; occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays - Faculty Salary Range: $69,755 – $140,966
- Punahou School offers a comprehensive total rewards program that includes competitive pay. The pay rate reflects the range of pay for faculty, which is dependent upon educational attainment and years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience as a Chaplain, Pastor, Priest, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Three (3) years of successful experience teaching across the K-8 age spectrum or pastoral experience in a school setting.
- Fully ordained clergy member of a Christian religious denomination.
