Job Summary: The adjunct lecturer in Construction Management will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses in various aspects of construction management. This position involves developing and delivering engaging lectures, creating course materials, assessing student learning outcomes, and providing constructive feedback to enhance student understanding and performance.
Key responsibilities: Teaching, curriculum development, departmental meetings, professional development, communication, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Compensation- $1,150 per credit hour – Doctorate
- $1,050 per credit hour – Master’s
Part‑time exempt position, open to both in‑person and remote applicants.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field with extensive experience.
- OR Master’s degree in construction management or equivalent, with 18 graduate hours, or bachelor's with 3 years of work experience, or associate degree with 7 years of experience.
- Ability to teach evenings and weekends.
- PhD in construction, civil engineering, architecture, or a closely related discipline, with 3–5 years of project-based professional experience.
- Executive‑level management experience highly encouraged.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and relocation allowance not available.
- Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
- Must submit tuberculosis clearance upon hire.
- Excellent time and stress management skills.
- May work during HPU’s winter break as needed.
- Teaching responsibilities include developing materials, mentoring student projects, grading, and assessing learning outcomes.

- Develop a syllabus that includes course activities meeting requirements and establishing appropriate student learning outcomes.
