In 2026 we will have 224 students in Years 5 and 6 with over 680 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our Primary School provides a Christ‑centred and supportive learning environment where every child is known and encouraged to thrive.
ResponsibilitiesThis is a rewarding opportunity to inspire students in their academic growth, contribute to a thriving school culture and grow professionally within a collaborative and future‑focused team. The position is initially a 12‑month contract with the potential to become ongoing.
Qualifications- Hold a valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia demonstrating a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Experience in planning and delivering high‑quality programs with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, HASS and the Arts.
- Possess excellent classroom management skills ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of students of differing ability levels.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills effectively collaborating with colleagues, parents and the broader school community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of an independent/private school along with the ability to inspire and engage students in their learning.
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour and practices.
- Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith.
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students and parents.
- Commitment to personal best practice.
- Ensure decisions are impartial, fact‑based and fair.
- Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- Commitment to maintaining a child‑safe environment in line with the College's values and policies.
- Possession of the following certifications:
- TRBWA / National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
