Lindahl Reed is seeking energy professionals to provide Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) services at U.S. Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll (USAG‑KA) in the Marshall Islands. Our work in the energy market includes partnering with our customers to provide high‑quality, professional and efficient services. To achieve this, we put an emphasis on sourcing experienced individuals who share our passion.
The REM candidates will provide engineering, technical knowledge, and analysis of highly specialized energy management applications, databases, and systems, as well as high‑level functional support for evaluation and implementation advice on energy information management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy resilience projects. The REM candidates will also be responsible for implementing sound, cost‑effective energy, and water management practices to enhance energy security, independence, and sustainability as mandated by legislation and various Executive Orders.
The candidates will support the development of energy conservation, renewable energy, and facility improvement initiatives and projects.
- Support energy planning, including the development of Installation Energy and Water Plans
- Conduct energy audits and develop energy conservation measures
- Develop energy efficiency improvements for facilities
- Analyze energy, water, and other utility data
- Provide energy training and support awareness initiatives
- Conduct design reviews
- Support the development of energy resilience projects, including the integration of onsite renewable energy, energy storage, and microgrids
- Develop decarbonization and electrification solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emission associated with power generation and transportation
- Support energy project implementation through Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects, Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects, Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects, and other energy funded projects
- Candidates must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- A four‑year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management.
- An Environmental Science, business or related degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management.
- A two‑year technical degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management.
- No degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in energy management.
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of energy projects.
- Background in energy management and experience with onsite renewable energy generation, energy storage, and microgrid projects as well as alternative financing contract vehicles.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense energy management requirements a plus.
- Current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), or ability to obtain certification within 12 months.
