ResponsibilitiesA Civil Engineer V performs difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares and supervises the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.

- Education Requirements: Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.
- Experience Requirement: One year of registered professional civil engineering experience.
- License Requirement: Possession of a valid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii. Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
