Distribution Project Engineer

In the role of Distribution Project Engineer we’ll count on you to support the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through schematic design, contract document development and beyond.

• Coordinate work of the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through schematic design development and contract document phases.
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review electrical documents for conflict with all disciplines.
• Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
• Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and incorporate approved changes into project documents.
• Provide construction contract administration as needed.
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators, or Technicians.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• A minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired.
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence.
• Strong computer skills with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.

The expected compensation range for this position is $85,334 – $140,191, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
