Senior Engineer – Environmental Services, Honolulu, HI. Join Stantec’s Environmental Services team and lead projects that deliver environmental solutions for clients and communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure adherence to project delivery processes.
• Oversee and manage development of project scope, budget, and technical requirements.
• Promote a corporate culture that champions ethical practices, individual integrity, and customer focus.
• Prepare and submit client financial reports.
• Oversee receipt of purchase orders and project setup.
• Develop project organization and staffing assignments.
• Review and approve billing reports before issuing invoices.
• Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures.
• Act as designated contract liaison with clients on contract performance and delivery.
• Perform quality assurance on work products prior to client submission.
Business Development
• Actively prepare proposals and develop fee estimates.
• Maintain and grow business opportunities and client relationships.
• Contribute to proposal development for environmental services on a project‑by‑project basis.
• Support growth of Stantec’s client base in Hawaii.
People Leader
• Coach and support career development of staff; drive employee engagement, retention, and recruitment.
• Attract, grow, and retain high‑quality staff.
• Oversee project managers, geologists, engineers, and teams responsible for technical fieldwork, reports, and documents.
Health and Safety
• Reinforce corporate quality and safety standards.
• Implement corporate standards into projects.
Capabilities and Credentials
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and people skills; experience managing large professional teams, preferably in an integrated design environment.
• Extensive experience with public‑sector, city, and county clients within federal, state, and county regulatory jurisdictions.
• Experience with California, Washington, Hawaii, and Alaska.
• Well‑developed written communication skills for technical reports, correspondence, and proposals.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Business development and proposal preparation expertise.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or related science.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience.
• Professional registration preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.

Pay Range
• Locations in CO, HI, MD & various CA, NJ areas – Min Salary $ – Max Salary $
Pay Transparency
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
