We are seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer III to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mid-Level Civil Engineer III

Location:

Honolulu, HI
Pay: $75k-$110k/Year.

Hybrid work schedule – must be available to work in Honolulu on a scheduled basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

• Identifies discrepancies in results.

• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

• Capable of working independently or within a design team.

• Attend client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.

• Excellent communication skills with project team, partners, agencies, and clients.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field plus 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites or clients if public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.

• Engineer In Training Certification.

• Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models.

• Previous work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.

• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected candidate must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii on a scheduled basis.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $.
