Telecommunications Specialist

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - OC/PACIFIC.

• Provide expert technical guidance and direction across all aspects of telecommunications infrastructure, including network management, service provisioning, transmission systems.
• Reviews correspondence for compliance with agency correspondence directives and initiate applications, information assurance, and transport, voice, data, and video equipment/systems.
• Mentor and advise technical personnel on the effective installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex telecommunications equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including status reports, policies, schedules, requirements specifications, test plans, briefings, and study results, to support effective telecommunications project management and decision-making.
• Perform project management duties, when applicable, which includes responsibility for ensuring project goals are accomplished, and technical direction to other civilian, military, or contractor personnel
