Civil and Aviation Designer
Jacobs is looking for an experienced Civil and Aviation Designer to support aviation site civil projects from our Honolulu, Hawaii office.
Base pay range: $86,600.00/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Develop site civil designs for airfield projects, including grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
- Develop surface models for airfield projects using Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure the design meets project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and organize documents using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Assist in the development of design plans for airfield projects and other civil design tasks.
- Support project teams in meeting schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Review and interpret survey data for integration into design models.
- Associate’s degree and minimum 10 years related experience in a professional civil engineering setting.
- Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and airfield design requirements.
- Experience in design of airfield/site civil projects including alignments, profiles, typical sections, site grading and drainage.
- Knowledge and experience with Hawaii-specific aviation requirements and standards.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of the latest releases of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience using Bluebeam Sessions for drawing markup and quality control.
- Ability to effectively communicate information to project team and clients.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret red line drawings from Engineers, Managers, or others on the project team.
- Implement and maintain document control processes to track revisions, version control, and file management within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with multiple design disciplines.
- Planning and organizational skills and ability to see a project through to completion.
- Excellent attention to detail of complex civil design components.
