Join us as a Universal Banker (Personal Banker) in the Relief Pool at Central Pacific Bank.

$22.15/hr - $24.00/hr

Multiple levels available based on experience. Starting pay is $21 per hour. The position requires travel to various branches as needed and includes location premium and mileage reimbursement. Universal Bankers perform sales, servicing, and operational functions in a branch, managing an assigned portfolio of High Value Clients (HVC) and meeting operational, cross-sale, and referral goals.

• Perform all bank functions, including opening and closing consumer and business deposit and loan products and accepting and closing secured/unsecured consumer loan and personal lines of credit applications. Certified to accept and close home equity lines of credit and loans.
• Identify potential customer banking needs and cross-sell other bank products and services; refer customers to specialists as appropriate.
• Build and retain customer relationships with HVC clients, participate in customer retention programs, and find opportunities to acquire new relationships.
• Analyze tax returns and financial statements.
• Participate in branch and bank-wide campaigns and support branch management with coaching and development activities.
• Ensure all duties are performed in alignment with the company's core values such as “Voyaging Spirit” and “Positively Ohana”.

• Accept secured and unsecured consumer loan and personal lines of credit applications and open all types of consumer and business deposit products.
• Profile customers while opening or servicing deposit accounts to determine needs.
• Actively participate in customer retention programs.
• Manage a portfolio of HVC customers.
• Analyze tax returns and financial statements.
• Participate in branch or bank-wide campaigns.
• Actively cross-sell and refer customers to appropriate business partners.
• Achieve individual/branch goals including deposit, loan and portfolio growth goals; revenue & risk management targets.

• Manage risk and take prompt action in case of loss or irregularities.
• Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash advances, U.S. Savings Bonds, check cashing, placing stops, cautions & holds, foreign currency exchange with minimal errors; balance teller cash daily.
• Purchase and sell cash to/from vault, assist in replenishment of cash dispensers.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• UB I Experience Requirements: 1+ year of sales and customer service; 1+ year of branch operations or successful teller/new account certification within 6 months of hire.
• UB II Experience Requirements: 2+ years of branch/bank operations experience and retail financial product sales; 1+ year of experience explaining credit products, accepting/closing consumer and business loan applications.

  Registration with NMLS required prior to performing Mortgage Loan Originator duties, if applicable;
  Notary Public commission preferred.

  Move and lift up to 20lbs; operate office equipment; communicate verbally and in writing; hear and read bank documents; work in conventional office setting; adapt to various work environments.
