Position: Strategic Finance Planning Analyst (Full-Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a financial consultant and resource to The Queen’s Health System (QHS) executive management staff, primarily for the analysis of the long-term strategic planning and strategic initiatives with significant financial impact to QHS.
  • Monitors programs to evaluate adherence to established plans and goals.
  • Provides analytics on financial plans with scenario and sensitivity analysis considering capital allocation (strategic expenditures) and healthcare reform variables.
  • III. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
    • Continuous: sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions.
    • Operates personal computer, calculator, and various office equipment.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, healthcare or related field.
    • Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
    • CPA licensure highly desirable.
    B.

    EXPERIENCE:
    • With Bachelor’s degree, five (5) years progressive experience in Finance.
    • With Master’s degree, three (3) years progressive experience in Finance.
    • Experience to demonstrate:
      • Knowledge of financial/cost accounting, business planning and development, and management information systems.
      • Ability to perform complex financial analyses and studies associated with reimbursement, profitability, business development, and treasury functions.
      • Ability to work with financial systems, including operations, cost accounting, budgeting and analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, contract management, reimbursement, and statistics, preferably in the healthcare industry.
      • Strong understanding of modeling software, including reporting and data manipulation, preferably with Kaufman Hall financial modeling.
      • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a broad range of people to accomplish assignments and projects effectively and efficiently.
