Under the direction of the Manager, this position plans and performs independent testing of the Bank’s system of internal controls, proposes revisions to update and strengthen controls and control descriptions, and makes recommendations to enhance business unit processes.

• Supports the Bank’s risk culture by demonstrating knowledge and experience, skillful and effective communication, and developing strong internal relationships.
• Maintain an understanding of all consumer compliance laws and regulations that affect the Bank's operations and stay abreast of any regulatory changes.
• Perform Enterprise Risk Testing (ERT) reviews: conduct testing of controls to validate effectiveness, apply judgment to select appropriate testing techniques, sampling methodology, and sample size, evaluate results against tolerance levels.
• Drive continuous improvement by proposing revisions to strengthen controls, recommending enhancements to business unit processes, identifying and documenting issues, and evaluating corrective action plans.
• Prepare reports for each reviewed area that clearly identify scope, findings, corrective actions, overall rating or opinion, and ensure documentation is clear and usable by a third party.
• Plan and organize work, manage multiple tasks, set objectives/goals, and reprioritize as needed.
• Perform all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent work experience.
• Level I:
  Minimum 3 years of work experience in banking, audit, regulatory compliance or risk, plus process improvement and/or project management experience.
• Level II:
  Minimum 5 years of work experience in banking, audit, regulatory compliance or risk, plus process improvement and/or project management experience.
• Level III:
  Minimum 7 years of work experience in banking, audit, regulatory compliance and/or risk management, plus process improvement and/or project management experience, familiarity with monitoring, testing, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) or similar software; knowledge of or ability to use Bank systems and software and current accounting principles and internal control concepts.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and oral communication skills, able to engage with all levels of the organization, strong attention to detail, analytical skills, self‑starter, and ability to prioritize work to meet objectives promptly; able to identify problems, conduct research, analyze information, and recommend solutions for complex compliance issues; willing to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
