GSG is seeking an experienced Deposit & Lending Products Strategy Manager to join our dynamic team. The Deposit & Lending Products Strategy Manager leads the team responsible for the strategy, development, and performance of our client’s deposit products and retail lending portfolio, including consumer and small business loans and lines. This role will guide a team of Product Managers to drive portfolio growth, deliver a best-in-class customer experience, strengthen competitive positioning, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

This role blends product strategy, P&L management, portfolio optimization, and cross-functional leadership, ensuring the deposit and lending businesses operate effectively and advance the organization’s strategic goals.

• Product Strategy & Roadmap (Acquisition & Loyalty) (30%)
  • Develops and maintains the long-term product vision and roadmap for deposits and retail lending (consumer and small business).
  • Leads strategies that drive deposit growth, loan origination, cross-sell, deepening, and customer engagement.
  • Oversees pricing, promotions, and sales initiatives across channels (branch, digital, contact center, partner-led).
  • Partners with Retail Banking to strengthen frontline product knowledge, training, and sales readiness.
  • Collaborates with analytics and finance teams to assess portfolio performance, deposit flows, loan/line usage, profitability, and customer behavior.
  • Gathers customer, competitive, regulatory, and frontline insights to refine product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensures all strategic programs comply with regulatory, legal, and internal governance requirements.
• Product Development & Execution (15%)
  • Leads end-to-end development of new deposit products, lending products, pricing methodology, features, and experience enhancements.
  • Conducts market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Champions customer centric-centric design principles to improve product value, simplicity, and accessibility.
  • Ensures all product launches meet delivery timelines, regulatory requirements, operational readiness, quality standards, and performance objectives.
• Portfolio Management (15%)
  • Monitors deposit and loan portfolio performance, including balances, flows, fee income, account utilization, retention, and risk metrics.
  • Optimizes product structures, pricing, and features to strengthen growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors and manages portfolio performance across acquisition, activation, utilization, retention, and rewards.
  • Leads annual reviews of deposit pricing, loan rate strategy, fee schedules, and promotional offerings.
