Entomologist Iv And V - Oahu; Ohhi

The State of Hawaii is seeking an Entomologist IV or V to work on complex entomological problems with statewide implications. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in entomology or a closely related field and progressively responsible professional work experience in the field of entomological research, development, prevention, or control.

Responsibilities will include analyzing, evaluating, and solving complex entomological problems; supervising lower-level entomologists; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Legal Authorization to Work:
  The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Education:
  
  A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in entomology or a closely related field which included at least twelve (12) semester credit hours in entomology coursework.
• Specialized
  
  Experience:
  
  Entomologist IV - Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the field of entomological research, development, prevention, or control which included field and/or laboratory work. Entomologist V - Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the field of entomological research, development, prevention, or control which included field and/or laboratory work. At least one (1) year of Specialized Experience must have been comparable to the Entomologist IV level in the State service.
